Symptoms
The most common symptom for peptic ulcer is the burns from the abdominal pain. This burn extends from the navel to the chest. The burns can go from moderate to severe. Larger peptic ulcers produce symptoms whereas small peptic ulcers do not produce symptoms. The abdominal pain can cause people to wake up most nights. This pain can get worse when there is no food in the stomach. It could go away for several weeks/days and then come back.
Other symptoms of peptic ulcer are:
Bloating
Nausea or Vomiting
Loss of appetite
Unexplained loss of weight
Vomiting of blood which can appear to be black or red
Black/dark stool due to bleeding
